The Company
Cambridge Microbial is at the forefront of bacterial cell cycle research at Cambridge University. We are actively engaged in exploiting the commercial potential of discoveries arising from basic research programs.
The Company is involved in the development and intellectual property licensing of original proprietary technologies for:
- The use of E. coli Quiescent Cells (Q-Cells) as bio-factories for the production of chemical intermediates, biopolymers, higher alcohol biofuels, hydrogen and recombinant proteins.
- Q-cells provide a radical solution to the problem of maintaining productivity in the absence of cell growth and division by separating the production process from biomass accumulation.
Collaborations
Cambridge Microbial is looking to develop partnerships with companies interested in chemical bio-factories or protein expression processes. For further information please feel free to contact us.
